Sometimes choosing a hotel and find a good deal for a family can be overwhelming. I’ve put together this selection of family hotel deals in Ireland that have availability for the dates quoted when I checked on 8th May 2021. Remember if you book to let them know where you found out about their deal!
DONEGAL
Holyrood Hotel in Bundoran is across the road from a Blue Flag Beach and offers kids’ entertainment nightly and a kids’ club. I priced 3 nights B&B for 2 adults and 3 children in a family room from 12 July for €567.
DUBLIN
I priced a 3 night family break in a quad room on July 5th on a Bed & Breakfast basis for €564.60. The hotel is a good base for a trip to Dublin Zoo or Tayto Park and they have packages which include ticket to these attractions.
Another handy one for Dublin Zoo and it has a pool and kids’ playground.
I priced a 2 night break on 28 June 2 adults and 2 children from €369 B&B or €476.50 2BB&1D.
WESTMEATH
A swimming pool and playground make this a great family choice. I priced a night family break for 2 adults and 3 children under 12 in a family room at €303 B&B in July.
TIPPERARY
Visit the Rock of Cashel or Lough Gur when you stay at the Ballykisteen Hotel, who offer a pool and kids club. The value in these hotel breaks is fantastic. A 2 night B&B1D family break with a ticket to your choice of local attraction including King John’s Castle, Arena 5 Family Activity Centre and Mitchelstown Caves costs €445 for 2 adults and 2 children on 14 July.
GALWAY
Claregalway Hotel 15 minutes from Galway City prides itself on being a family friendly hotel and with spacious family rooms and complimentary kids’ club to offer it lives up to the claim. The hotel has a pool and is a good base to visit Galway City, Turoe Pet Farm, Ailwee Caves and many more. They have a package of 2BB & 1D for a family of 5 sharing a family room including afternoon tea for €491.
MEATH
Newgrange Hotel is Navan is offering good value hotel breaks at €363 2 nights B&B for 2 adults and 2 children in family room in July. The hotel doesn’t have a pool but is a convenient base for visiting Tayto Park or Newgrange.
WEXFORD
Situated in Wexford town this modern hotel has a modern pool complex. Family breaks include a summer surprise for children on arrival. A 2 night B&B break for 2 adults and 2 children in a family room is priced at €358 for 2 adults and 2 children.
