The Easter holidays are here, the evenings are longer and finally, just finally there seems to be a hint of Spring. The kids are off for two weeks so it’s time to get adventuring and seek out some fun. Here are some ideas of Easter themed events that are on throughout County Wexford, which will you choose?
The Irish National Heritage Park in Wexford is holding its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st. The Easter Egg Hunt runs throughout the day from 9.30am until 4.30pm. Admission to the hunt is €5 per child and each child receives an Easter egg (Book online here) There’s also an egg decorating class on Thursday 29th, it’s from 1- 4pm and costs €15 per child, priceless if it means you don’t have to do it at home! Hook Lighthouse has family fun games and entertainment this Easter Bank Holiday weekend including fun and games on the lawns and a possible visit from Captain Hook! Easter arts and craft sessions with our resident artist Rose will also be on offer, no booking needed. They also have one of their Sunset Tours running on Good Friday, what an amazing place to watch the sun set!

The Amber Springs Hotel in Gorey are running Alice in Wonderland Themed Easter Trains throughout the holidays, tickets cost €10 per person and are available here.
Kia Ora Mini- Farm has a visit from the Easter Bunny too, as well as Fireman Sam and a Minion. They’re also holding Wacky Races such as sack races, bean bag, backward races and egg and spoon for prizes. More details here
Wells House always has a busy schedule of events and this Easter is no different, with lots of extras on offer (for an extra cost) choose from puppet shows, falconry workshops, Build-a-Bear Workshops or a visit by Electric Zoo. Get all the details and booking information here.
Enniscorthy Castle are running Easter Egg Hunts on 31st for €2 per child on top of the entry fee, more details on their Facebook page.
Johnstown Castle is running two Easter Egg Hunts, an indoor one and an outdoor one – no need to book in advance, the hunts run from 25 March to Easter Monday and the charge is €4 per child (or €3 for under 5s). See more here.
Blackwater Open Farm is open throughout the mid-term break from 10am to 5pm and is running Easter Egg Hunts on Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 1pm to 4pm.
Wexford Lavender Farm are running Easter Egg hunts on Saturday and Sunday and Easter Baking Workshops for Kids on Thursday 5th April. More details here.
