A Happy Birthday Surprise with Netflix

Both my sons have September birthdays, eleven days separate them. I’ve been listening to jokes about “having a good Christmas” since early 2008, and frankly I’m over it . With the two boys’ birthdays so close to each other and the competition between them so strong we always try to make their birthdays special but also different. Different but equal. With my eldest’s ninth birthday just past (I saved my emotional birthday post for instagram but if you feel like reading one I prepared earlier you could check this one out  or this one.

Well here’s a new thing to keep the birthday fun going – today Netflix released 15 Birthdays On-Demand, where characters from LEGO Ninjago, Luna Petunia, Beat Bugs and more help make birthday celebrations a piece of cake.

There’s a good few characters,  my kids’ would most likely choose My Little Pony, Pokémon and Lego Ninjago so they are all catered for.

So I can keep that special secret up my sleeve, safe in the knowledge that no sooner has the green dye from making my eldest’s birthday cake washed off than I need to buy in ingredients to make his brother’s special design next weekend. September is birthday month, and even without having a party at home it gets hectic- in two-thirds of parents (67%) globally agree that birthday planning is stressful according to a survey that Netflix shared!

Check back in at the end of the month and I’ll tell you how it all went. Hopefully my fingers will have returned to their normal colour by then!
