I’ve had this blog on the go since June 2012, and over the years I’ve entered various blog awards competitions. My success in some of these competitions has been dependent on you the reader voting for me. I hate begging for votes, I do know that it’s irritating and I do feel slightly demeaned with the repeat requests.
I don’t blog to win awards, I blog because I like to write, and the occasional blog related treat is a lovely bonus.
I’ve managed to be a finalist quite a few times but until last Friday I couldn’t call myself an “award-winning blogger”.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I’ve WON AN AWARD for blogging, the bronze award for best parenting blog at the Boots Maternity and Infant Awards to be specific. Ta-Dahh!
I’m delighted and truly thankful to all of you who take the time to read what I write, to those that comment and interact on Facebook, Twitter on Instagram.
Thanks so much for all your support.
What’s going to change around here now that I’m award winning? Not much I’m afraid. Bumbles of Rice will continue to be your go-to-place times that you really need to know what a forty-year-old working mother of three thinks about something, or where she went on holidays, or what she has for dinner.
Sorry. And thanks.
I mean cheers *clinks glasses*
